The three rules about procrastination. 1. 2.

“Fear is a mile wide, and an inch deep. We perceive it as a massive ocean. Then we step into it, we realize it's just a puddle.” -Leila Hormozi

Have you ever put off a task for months just to finally do it and it takes you 15 minutes? Yea, me too.

Procrastination for a long time has been misunderstood as laziness. However, we now know it’s attached to deeper emotions like fear and self-doubt. Putting the task off keeps us comfortable and safe from those less enjoyable feelings. It also rarely yields sustainable success.

Something to consider is the more you put yourself in situations where you do the hard things, the shallower the once ocean of discomfort becomes. This is because you’re removing the fear and replacing it with a stack of proof that says you’re in control of your time, capable, enough…fill in the blank.

Some steps to take to become more aware of your time management skills and personal emotions are 1. Write a list of things you’ve been putting off and identify the emotions you have around that task. 2. Define the outcome you want for each task. 3. Choose a time management method that works best for you. There are key elements to consider when choosing a method and Love Yours “Time Mastermind” unpacks those. Hop in the next session and find the work flow that’s designed just for you.
